24 July – 13 September 2026 ‘Pausing For Thought’ will be on display to view and purchase at Atelier Open at Atelier By The Sea.
The Atelier Open is brought to you by Tutton & Young who have more than 20 years experience organising some of the best Art and Craft events in the country, including MADE London, Brighton Art Fair and MADE Brighton.
This is a popular summer show, which is open daily over the busiest eight weeks of the year on Brighton Seafront. Both the gallery spaces will be brimming full of artworks of all kinds with a huge variety of subjects and media.
Investigating perception and experience through movement and layers, she selects colours, materials and processes to describe density, texture, fleeting impressions, and the temporal qualities of daily life. Forms exist between states, neither wholly present nor absent, familiar nor alien. Clare encourages viewers to pause and notice subtle shifts in tone, texture and depth that emerge through sustained attention, offering an alternative to the quick consumption of images in contemporary visual culture.
