Edition One: Materiality is a special exhibition opportunity for artists, collectors and respected arts organisations to start collaborative relationships
This piece is one of Clare’s current projects examine the shifting identity of place, the interplay of natural geometry and perspective, and how discarded materials can be reimagined beyond waste. She is drawn to moments of both harmony and tension, revealing connections that might otherwise go unnoticed. She works across different media, allowing each material to guide the outcome in a reciprocal way, producing compositions that blend expressive mark-making, layered perspectives, and vibrant contrasts of form and colour. An intuitive approach brings energy to the work, encouraging new ways of seeing. Research and experimentation are at the heart of Clare’s approach. Her practice is about engaging with the world, questioning perceptions, and finding meaning in contrasts. Through her work, she invites viewers to reflect on the layered realities that shape our surroundings and our experiences.
